Mama Cry No More

MAMA CRY NO MORE

The most tender I have ever known
The world of never you created
Best example of love a lesson learnt
Mama cry no more

Stranger no more am I to this world
Mama I have learnt its tricks
The hills are lower now, the tunnels are brighter
Mama cry no more

Mama let me dry your tears
I will pop the toaster, crunch the flakes
Spread the marmalade, bubble your bath tub
Mama cry no more

The jet is ready, your ticket at hand
The line will dress you up with the queen’s taste
The fruits of your labour, its time you had the taste
Mama cry no more.

Esther, this is such a moving tribute to your mother. My mother suffered from depression and cried nearly every day, but still she found time to encourage her children. We are both blessed to hold our mothers in such esteem. Do all you can to help her, hon. She raised you with compassion that I admire. Best wishes, Carolyn

Dear Esther, I would if I could, but my mother died young. Still, we had a very close relationship and she knew how much I loved her. It pains me that so many people have distanced themselves from their parents. In most cases, parents deserve a second chance even if they've hurt us in some way. I admire your love for your mother.

Thanks Carolyn. Poetry is a field where we express ourselves just like those talented in music or drama. Someones mother is the best gift doesnt matter the abilities or disabilities, God bless your mama that she cries no more.Give her a copy of my poem for free.
