Mama

When I look in the mirror, Your face comes in clearer. I always see you looking back at me, Of all your children, I look most like thee. I am so sorry for being stupidly pissed. Because of this, much has been missed. My actions had nothing to do with the past. I forgave you when you asked. I look back with dread, About things I shouldn't have said. I broke your heart in two, When I turned my back on you. A mother's love is unceasing, And what I did left you grieving. We are all broken in some way, Please take to heart what I say, I am hoping to restore what I so carelessly tore. And maybe you will love me once more. I am so very sorry for breaking your heart.
