Making Wishes

Making Wishes

I take a penny and toss it in the well
Then make a wish and I can’t tell

If I see a shooting star in the sky
I make a wish for my wife and I

If I have chicken with a wishbone
This would be for two, I live alone

No more candles on a birthday cake
No more wishes can I make

Making wishes that my wife could be
Together again with me

What a wonderful poem to read on an early Saturday morning Michael one day you will be. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Love, Carol
