Making Our Dreams Come True

As we lie here on this crystal night,
the air is cold and black.
Every star held bright and true
against the midnight back.

Your arms are so comforting,
I don't want to leave your embrace.
But when we finally drift into sleep
I see your gorgeous face.

I can hear you say you love me,
that I'm everything to you.
I whisper softly in my sleep
that I love you too.

A smile spreads across my face
for I know you're here with me.
And of all the places on this earth,
there's nowhere I'd rather be.

No matter the trials on life’s path,
I will not let it tear us apart.
We share a love that is rare and true,
you’re the only thing filling my heart.

The night gets cold and, in your sleep,
you wrap your arms around me.
It feels so good to have you near,
this is the way it should be.

You gave me all you are able to give,
I do the same for you.
I smile and tell you it will be alright
for I believe every word is true.

I look at your face one last time
before I gently close my eyes.
I fall asleep in your warm embrace
praying this love never dies.
