Making Memories

Zipping through New Hampshire’s White Mountains Suspended by a rope through trees Autumn colors accompany a brisk breeze Turning your face bright, scarlet red Don’t look down, just peer ahead Live joyfully in each challenging activity “What,” you say, “no engine?” Sail planes ride wind currents Regular airplane tows you up Then you are cut free To rely on navigational skills Parasail over turquoise sea Images below evoke wonder Tiger Shark approaches bathers No distress signal sent Rev the engine Noisy jet skis Bound over waves Bucket list Now empty Memories!

I knew when I read this the first time it would place high...congratulations my friend...I still think a bucket list is for those who have buckets, mine is like the song from ricky nelson, always seems to have a hole in it

Carolyn, from the subject matter, I just knew this had to be you!! I still recall that bucket list of yours Gosh, hard to believe you got it all empty by now! I think your poem had some of the best final lines I saw. That is why I put this one so high! Congrats.

I didn't have enough room to talk about the indoor skydiving last summer. Still want to do it outdoors, but will be satisfied by the indoor effort if I don't get the opportunity.

Dear Carolyn, your bucket list might be empty, but at least that bucket is full of lovely memories. Life is meant to be lived to the full; I would not want to get past it with regrets. hugs // paul
