MAKING MEMORIES

Be they pictures by inspection Or simply my recollection, I keep close to me and true Memories of me and you. Somewhere in the past, we met Sometime. I cannot forget Your impact ever since on me As if we were two if by sea. Times with you of fun and laughter... Something I do not chase after. This is because I hold high Memories of you and I. Recently or gone a while... Looking back, they make me smile. What we had and shared together... Like we were birds of a feather. Experiences shared with you... Past times - conversations too. While some end up left behind, Most stand out inside my mind. Moments of which are unique Whenever I may choose to seek... Drawing on our instance had To make good out of bad or sad. Life goes quickly and is short... Another one cannot be bought. Whether we may keep in touch Often or even not as much, We can plan to meet once more... Whenever, wherever, to explore The chance of you and me to be And make another memory.

Alas, to have not been together as one had wished, to have wished as one hoped, just one more memory even, lost to time had spent. This poem relates to that of a hopeless romantic. I hope you do make another memory. Life is too short.
