Who is the baker, what is the bread? Why the roses are always so red? Jan is master, makes the bread rise. I will be eating it, until I am dead.......

My great-great grandfather Lawson owned a bakery in Douglas, so I was always gifted with home-made bread which my mother had to lock away to stop me from stuffing myself with the dough. Sadly, that was the only dough that stuck to me. Good luck! Aloha! Rico

Delightful, Jan! It sounds like you may have a master baker in your family. Nothing beats the taste of fresh bread straight from the oven. Best wishes in the contest, my friend. Love, Carolyn

i think i read the same thing that chris did, jan, but that's likely because we've both read some of your humorous and slightly suggestive poems. either way you read this, a wonderful poem!

Hi Jan, a wonderful Senryu. Your words paint a vivid image in the mind. Gooduck for the contest, I hope your Senryu does well. Now it is time for me to head for the kitchen. I must learn self control. Love the content of this one, love freshly baked bread also. Have a wonderful Monday. Hugs....Mike. XX

Hubby adores freshly made bread - we sometime cook part baked baguettes and make them up for a picnic but have to have the ends with some butter when they come out of the oven:-) hugs Jan xx
