Make Time For Love

Up my love...Don’t want to be late. To walk the dog and be back by eight. Can we not take the time for splendor? At least what fifteen minutes will render. Then wake the kids, feed and ambulate. I to my work. You to their school. Love’s labor wrought, that is so cool. Supper at Hardee’s the one you pass by, Then Parent/Teacher’s to find out why, No prayer in the morning is the new rule. Never fear, the week-end is ours my pet. Mom called and she’ll keep them I bet, at least one night we’ll have all to our self I’ll get some of those things off of the shelf and you’ll languish in your best fantasy yet. © May 10 2010 for Dr. Mehta’s Parody contest

Charles, I enjoyed reading your poetry, today. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt thoughts with us. I particularly enjoyed this one because it helps me realize how much keeping my grandson's for the weekend help my youngest daughter and her husband. I am the only living Grandma. And thank you for your kind words on my poetry as well. Keep winning SMILES with your words! Lovingly, Dane Ann
