Make That 417
They are my creations; The one thing they have in common is me.
Each of my paintings begins with eyes. For some reason I
always draw the eyes first, no idea why that would be.
Many of my wild women hold swords; two are standing on men, in a threatening way.
My cartoon/drawings have given me a therapeutic edge most delightful ly every day.
This all began accidentally on a summers day when a granddaughter challenged me.
Can you please paint with me Grandma? I was frightened of ruining a canvas, you see.
A granddaughter at nine can be persistent, and tenacious, as this one was.
She alone is the one who inspired me, although I imagine there was coaxing from above.
On days that I do not paint, I am not confident it was a good day at all.
In short, this painting thing has taken off, and not only did I fill a wall
I filled the whole house, and my office too. I filled some boxes, gave one to my cousin Lou.
When I'm gone, I am hoping my grandchildren will each take at least a minimum of two.
This means there will only be four hundred and sixteen to get rid of in some other way.
Don't let's thing about that today. Canvases await, and I so want to play!
