Make It So

Within the complexities of our minds
We create worlds and circumstances
When we thirst for the oasis of compassion
But lack it in real life
Then we conjure in our heads this tenderness
We change what is in our grasp
By reaching deep within our being

We make it so

If love is absent in this day of hate and rage
And what we desire is not found
Then, we must process and formulate
The antidote to spewing venom
We counteract these poisons
For even if it's not easily found in the natural
By bringing love to others and ourselves

We make it so

It is my belief that we are not the source
Of this love we long so to possess
No, we are all born of fleshly greed
From whence we came, through ages past
Out of dust we rose and into dust we fall
But our Creator redeems each of us if we but ask
For He is the source of Light and Love

He’ll make it so

Yes, we certainly do make it so. I see the love and wonder of our being in many, and sadly, the lack there of too, as you write. Beautiful, spiritual poetry. Love, Shar

Wonderful writing. Yes, we all have the freedom to choose what becomes of us. No one can do it for us, we make it so...Love it, thanks for sharing. Lawrence in Lou. Ky.
