Make Believe
The words you say, make believe.
The dreams we share, make believe.
The life we had, make believe.
The vows and promises we made, make believe.
The memories I have, make believe.
The person I thought you were, make believe.
Us!
Make believe!
The only thing in this make believe relationship that wasn’t make believe,
Was me,
And I was only a fading memory slowly on the way to make believe.
