Make a Veteran Your Friend
So lonely is a man,one who fought for you and me.
Find the time, you can,
to help this man to see.
Day in day out he wonders why,
has everyone turned their back?
Tears he holds in, not to cry,
bravery he will not lack.
Yet at another days end,
still lonely is he.
So make a Veteran your friend,
no longer will he be.
It doesn't take much time to write a Veteran and tell him that you recognize him.
as well as all of the others that gave all they could for our Freedom.
When you give a little, you get a lot in return. Your heart will say,
"Wow, I helped someone who gave me my Freedom, my heart feels lifted!"
