Magnificent Mountains
Praise God forevermore
He is majestic to the core
He is much adored
He is the mountains ashore
He is an awesome chord
He is also a sweet Accord
And I never meant to
I never meant to
I never meant to hurt You
I’m flying in the sky
And I don’t know why
This is my melody
I can be truly free
If You’d set me free
Set me free from captivity
Been through it all
Thought of You
When I did my free-fall
Out of the blue
While I flee gleefully and wondrously
To the magnificent mountains oh so gaily…
Praise God forevermore
What are you waiting for?
Let your velvet wings soar
Don’t be such a reckless bore
He restored grace to my verse
Rejoicing is what we should rehearse
His ear chooses not to ignore
Our cries that we shed in reverse
Our lives are a gift and a curse
And I never meant to
I never meant to
I never meant to hurt You
I’m flying in the sky
And I don’t know why
This is my melody
I can be truly free
If You’d set me free
Set me free from captivity
Been through it all
Thought of You
When I did my free-fall
Out of the blue
While I flee gleefully and wondrously
To the magnificent mountains oh so gaily…
But, His magnificent mountains
Will melt into faithful fountains
Our foundations are perfection to the Lord
He struck an Accord chord
Inside me and that’s what I hoard
These sins I concealed and committed –
I cannot afford and my feet feel like lead
Illuminated God’s above love is our positive allegory
Nice-looking notions are gems of optimistic glory
And I never meant to
I never meant to
I never meant to hurt You
I’m flying in the sky
And I don’t know why
This is my melody
I can be truly free
If You’d set me free
Set me free from captivity
Been through it all
Thought of You
When I did my free-fall
Out of the blue
While I flee gleefully and wondrously
To the magnificent mountains oh so gaily…
And I never meant to
I never meant to
I never meant to hurt You
I’m flying in the sky
And now, I know why
