Magical Thinking

It is as if the ceiling is cracking.

And the reflection in the mirror is lacking.

I don’t believe it is my family on the phone.

They are speaking in the wrong tone!

Or could all this be a reality that only exists within my sacrifice?

Of my inhibitions that used to keep my imagination from clanking like dice.

It is as if a shift is my well being.

Has created a universe that is receding.

It feels like I have been impaled by fog.

And that delusions are reaching through the windows to drag me into a bog.

And soon, I predict, there will be no hope left to walk upon.

I shall shift away from my family- this new fate I don.
