                        A breeze kissed trees, laying in a bucolic trance,
            Whilst a sunny curtain hived from prying eyes.
Praising comely love, sparrows spurred stance,
In a cynosure spotlight of vivid crimson skies.
                        Leaves rustled and wiggled in a dulcet tone,
An elixir, as magical as jade rolls, is shown.
The lake sighed as he saw him flush alone,
      Swans scantly snuffed the spur to stare.
            As they hear the news, the skies are aware,
                        Happiness spilled in furtive floods of dare.
Fetching flowers fiercely feast with a glance,
            Soothing the forlorn grass as it flops in size.
      For them, butterflies burst busily into the zone,
            To quell their anguish, blot out the blare.

Ink Empress November 12, 2023 at 3:24 AM Dear Sotto, i can hear and feel the dulcet tones youve delivered with such descriptive lines using colors and nature to paint such a magically moving and ethereal ambience, the way you weave imagery is always so awe inspiring and so profound! I loved the flow of this poem and also how you’ve written “ The lake sighed as he saw him flush alone,Swans scantly snuffed the spur to stare.” So surreal and stunning! Absolutely loved reading this one! Im sure this will do very well in the contest too.
