MADNESS

When will this madness stop?
When will this madness stop?

Why do we constantly shop?
Why do we constantly shop?

The clock continues with its drunken sound of TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK.
We're slowly dying, so I ask:
Why can't we stop?

Stealthily comes the dark spirit of 'Alkuhl'
With its malevolent intent and insidious pull.

It goes on and on like a thunderous storm that lingers through the night.
Messed up, faded, nice, tore back—this is all I hear while, sadly, we continue to lose sight.

Yes! Sight of what's right, what's important, and all the tangibles and intangibles that are inextricably linked to our FREEDOM.

Debilitating manacles of oppression, depression, and suppression create a lack of self-love because we've lost sight of where we're going and from whence we've come.

AGAIN! I ask...

When will this madness STOP?
When will this madness STOP?

When we POP?
When we lose our top?
When we DROP?

OR

Will it continue like a menu on a restaurant's table?
With eye-mesmerizing selections for days that whet our appetite with sheer delight—like a baby being pacified in its cradle.

Mr. Jack Daniels, Captain Morgan, Johnnie Walker Red, Mr. Paul Masson, Ciroc, Hypnotiq, Absolut, and our good friend Gin, to name a few.

INSANITY! Insanity, I say.... My Lord, why must we continue this way?

A deathtrap on the horizon, yet we continue to do what we do.
Sip after sip, our senses become more numb and our spirits more tainted.

Waking to the freshness of a new day yet hungover from the night before, afraid to look in the mirror for fear of the ugly picture that has been painted.

My brother and my sister, I implore you to awaken from this drunken slumber, for we have great works to do.

FREEDOM! Yes, sweet freedom. Our ancestors paid the ultimate price, and our future rests in the balance of today, so let's be true.

Let's look up to the hills for our success.

ENOUGH!

Enough, I say, of this squalor, mediocrity, self-hatred, and this senseless madness.

Stop the MADNESS....
Stop the MADNESS....
Stop the MADNESS....

STOP!
