Madiba died as the world cried
The lights went out in Africa
Goodbye Nelson we are with you
Your struggle is over, we love you
A young mans dreams
That's the way it seems
You changed the world
Your time was taken
You were strong
They were wrong
You are us, we are you
Madiba's dream came true
“Only free men can negotiate”
Words they can't negate
Madiba died as the world cried
