Made Sure

He always made sure we were,
happy.
Never sad,
for we couldn't bare the heart break.

He always made sure we were,
together.
Never apart,
for we couldn't bare the distance.

He always made sure we were,
comfortable.
Never a touch of discomfort,
for we couldn't bare an unease style.

He always made sure he was,
there.
Never gone,
he couldn't bare an absence.

He always made sure he was,
loving.
Never unloved,
He couldn't bare the hurting.

He always made sure he was,
gentle.
Never ruthless,
he couldn't bare the deterioration of me.

I always made sure to,
smile.
Never real,
I couldn't bare to let him see.

I always made sure to,
watch.
Never abandoned sight,
I couldn't bare to let him find out.

I never made sure of the realization,
emptiness.
Never full,
I could never put it together.

I never made sure
of....
of....
Not us,
but me.
