Made Of

1/2/2021

Ever since day one
Even when I was way young
People so quick to say some

Different places we came from
Wisen up, don't play dumb

Hard days may come
Will or won't find out what your really made of

Remained sober or continued to take drugs
In the background, is a faint hum
On a daily basis it rains tons
Far too often I stayed numb
Resulting in the same buzz

A different chemical composition and make up
Whether or not times were strange and tough
Got to change it up, or you'll remain stuck

It takes a lot more than wit and discipline
On either side of the prime meridian
Close and far from amphibians
As well as pieces of snowflake obsidian
Never did good doing the bare minimum
Or always giving in
Among a world full of carcinogens
On course or an off kilter equilibrium
Until the point of oblivion
