Made For Death
I’ve come to worship a place of death
The thing inside, the world that’s left
I’ve lost all fear of the pain I hold
And now I know that I’ll never let it go
I know my strength can defeat the hate
I know I could live with this dreadful state
But when there’s nothing to walk towards
I’d rather be this than find another wall
My pretty stage has welcomed you
Now meet the puppets that get me through
I stand above you and work the lights
As glass-eyed demons overshadow in delight
My perfect poems are made for you
The what-you-needs and what-you’d-do
But what I am is made for death
And so I’ll drain you until my words are on your breath
I’ve come to everything I was to be
And death is nothing, so that is me
I have no fears, no true regrets
And so I face the karma that collects
