Lying

We do it when we receive a bad gift.
We do it when we need to be swift.
All of us did it in our youth.
It happens when we don't tell the truth.
Some people do it to deceive,
others do it to ourselves to make us believe.
Some do it to conceal their sexuality.
Some it so well, it becomes their reality.
Some do it out of weakness or fear,
but you can't do it to yourself, looking in the mirror.
You can lie to me and yourself all you want.
The truth will come out, then yourself, you'll have to confront.
