Lust

Twelve years experience
In the fields of the lost
This kind of depression
Only loneliness can cause

Till one night I stood
Not knowing how
Where darkness and evil
Were lurking around

I walked amongst kings
And their heads hung low
In a layer of hell
With Dante to show

"Since I first found love
Then lost it with a blink
The desire for it back
Was fueled by the drink"

The sad words spoken
From a fallen preist
Lost from Gods' hands
To the hands of the Beast

How Dante did show me
The sin of desire
To continue to lust
I'd join him in fire

I shook my head
And asked to leave
Woke up the next day
No longer naive
