Lured By Your Heart

Lured by your heart, I discovered your soul; an ethereal spark that drew me in, allowing me to relinquish control. When I met you, my heart was far from whole; but slowly, I felt the healing begin, lured by your heart, I discovered your soul. Although my future looked as black as coal, I felt you were offering love, not sin; allowing me to relinquish control. Past experiences levied their toll, and though my chances were extremely thin; lured by your heart, I discovered your soul. Gambling on Hope, I gave the dice a roll, and listened to my heart whisper within; allowing me to relinquish control. I felt like an actor without a role; then suddenly, it was my turn to win. Lured by your heart, I discovered your soul; allowing me to relinquish control.

emile, I remember when I did my first villanelle. Thinking how difficult it was and then doing several more in years to come. This one looks effortless , so I am sure you have done them before, and I love the repeating lines you used. They go really well together!! Lovely job.
