Lungs On Fire

Lungs on Fire By Kevin Robey June 18, 2013 My lungs don’t fill They suffocate Relax, sit still My mind debates Forget this all I will not stay So will you call, For one more day? This tortured soul Will not rewind To times I hold My mind in line It’s over now I never pined To look ahead Or turn back time [chorus] I’m sitting where the good and bad collide Where it comes and goes like bloody tides It seems I’ll never be free of pent up misery Unhook the lure and toss me back to the sea Set my lungs on fire With desire and chaos Release my calming sea To tidal wave inanities The only way I live Is on the edge of sin The lies I will outlive Can penetrate my skin This is the only road I’ve ever known alone I’ll pay back what I owe Walk through the great unknown Take my hand One more time Our final stand The perfect crime [chorus 2] I’m sitting where the good and bad collide But now bright eyes connect and realign Throw this pent up misery back to the sea And hold you close, the very best part of me
