Notes About The Poem

Luna-Love

The midnight sky is filled with stars
that sparkle 'round the bright full Moon,
while mirror image on the lake
so softly ripples in her glow.
As crickets sing their mating song,
and palm trees sway in summer's breeze,
my eyes look toward the glowing sky
and think about how small we are.

Alone I sit on this grand night
with nature 'neath this lovely sky,
and watch Moon's silver shining light
paint surfaces from far away.
With her, I'm drifting through a void
we share in this grand Universe;
so close and yet so far away...
she smiles at me with Luna-Love.

This is a perfect example of Iambic Tetrameter Sandra. I think it makes for beautiful love poems when written as a Sonnet. Yours does not have to be written as a Sonnet because it's beautiful just the way it is.
