Lullaby

Gently, gently rest bye and bye
Tis time to rest those eyes that sigh
Dream of cotton clouds, hills of rainbow
Seek the adventures only you’ll know

The black sky smiles with star teeth
And I see the heart that lies beneath
The moon in awe gazes upon you
There’s a new day waiting to be true

Gently, gently rest bye and bye
Let all the patterned colors sing and fly
I will be here when you awake
Imagine all both real and fake

And when you finish your fine rest
My eyes will know you the best
You will be welcomed so very much
Your smiles, your giggles, and your touch

Rest bye and bye, dear one
Your next day will have soon begun
Rest bye and bye, my peaceful dove
And again you will greet unending love
