Lucy Wanted a Cat

Lucy wanted a cat, but her mother said, 'No!'
   With all of her heart, she yearned for one so

But her mother'd been scratched by a cat long ago
   Lucy's sorrow the greater, 'cos she didn't know

OMG! My mother didn't like dogs because one scared her so we never got to have a dog, Greshon were you my invisible brother is that where your getting this great poetry 2 in a row?

that happens sometimes. Just because of one little incident, the kids have to suffer and never get the pet they want. I enjoyed this, Gershon

You are so right, Andrea. I myself solved the problem in my family by 'semi-adopting' the pet next door. Not all kids are as lucky as I was. Thank you for your support! Cheers, Gershon
