Lucky Feather
As I sit in the dark my soul continues to search.
Where will my wings take me? Where's my next perch?
I feel so many emotions as my wings allow me to soar.
I see through all the pretending like never before.
I feel my future success deep down in my soul.
I'm optimistic it's true but I will reach my goal.
I can read a person and their feelings when I look in their eyes.
I can physically feel their pain while I remove their disguise.
Do I know what path to take as I move on ahead?
Absolutely not. But still I won't dread.
I inspire to see the world through someone else's eyes.
I want to see if they can feed out the truth and the lies.
I want to see if they take things in like I do,
I'd like to know if I'm only one in a few!
In my life I have always welcomed a change.
I've adapted to things that to most would seem strange.
With each new day I experience a new transition.
I cant help but choose to follow my own intuition.
So as I place my headdress up on my head,
while emotions run deep but I smile instead.
Cause deep down I know people live life with their
eyes closed up tight,
always out searching for what's found in the light.
But if only they knew what's out in the dark and unknown,
They'd in turn find themselves and realize they've grown.
I hear the pow wow begin and now its all up to me.
The wind wisped an owl feather and I watched it fly free.
I am one with the owl as I start to dance.
Although I will remain grounded and continue my stance.
There's so much out there more than anyone of us could see.
So take a chance to fly free and end up happy.
