Lucidity

When I walk in the dark, I only see Between the lashes of your veiled eyes And I take your counsel loyally As a sick man his pill ‘Cos you are the Strong I am the Weak You lead I follow But light has come to stay I will from today walk by the light You force to my senses Treacherous teacher! What do you know about the cupid to teach? These precious times I spent with you I grieve For you betrayed my trust I am bare in your hand I become like a naked chicken Exposed to biting cold Because you’ve known all of me I offer my heart, a soul mate To your lonely soul I offer my creamy milk Soothing to your thirsty soul You make me drunk of your lies as a man on strong wine You left me to stagger and fall. You betrothed your heart to another Yet you profess Your honesty is as bright as the midday sun But I’ve read in these deceitful eyes of yours That you have no need of me You slay my hope You crush my spirit You rip my heart asunder With the sword of a jilt You wreck my world You drown my joy You sear my soul With the flame of shame My comfort: Is it in the mouth alone that you eulogize Or in the heart, your place of wickedness Or in your lips that wet my lips Or in these fingers that caress and revive? These things that you do behind me Define your true self and I see it again You made me sang my song of hope with the melodies of emptiness. You made me sat my heaven of bliss among my fiends in the pit of hell But now, you’ve opened my eyes to see the light And I’ll henceforth walk straight And no more in the dark
