Lucid Desires

I fell asleep
Dreaming of desire
Inflamed by fire
That love inspired
In decadent attire
Lucidity rewired
Balancing highwires
Frequently supplied

What transpired
between
Glowing sapphires
between
Calling a ceasefire
between
Raging bonfires
between
A lovers fire
between
Unfolding desires

I fell asleep
Dreaming of desire
Inflamed by fire
That love inspired
In decadent attire
Lucidity rewired
Balancing highwires
Frequently supplied

What transpired
between
Glowing sapphires
between
Calling a ceasefire
between
Raging bonfires
between
A lovers attire
between
Unfolding desires

I loved this one Holly. Especially the last two words, "Unfolding desires", I wish I had thought of that. It creates such a wonderful picture in the mind. Have you written any poetry inspired by paintings you have done?

That sounds very cool. I went to a Jazz concert once and they had an artist on stage painting how the evening's music made him feel. That was fun to watch. A few years ago I wrote a series of piano compositions to a poets poetry that I admired. It was a blast sitting at the piano, reading one of her poems and playing how it made me feel. Have fun with that , it sounds like it would be very cool.

this poem took me 120 seconds to write. no editing. maybe I'll paint something for it while listening to silent lucidity...queensryche...

no I haven't yet. just getting back to my creativity. lost if for many years. that's an awesome suggestion. combine the artwork with poetry and music. infuse what inspires and entwine. Abstract meets structure meets lyrical timing.
