Loyal Life

Keep your finger on my pulse
to see if I'm alive or else
the breath which oh so quickly came
could leave it's mark upon my name
Brush the hair back from my eyes
to see me slip and try to hide
the tears which won’t be bottled still
while watching the world spin it’s sinking wheel
Slide beside me, hold my hand
as down we go, we’ll softly land
upon the thoughts we’ve woven spun
from the moment we wed and became one
Twirl me dancing clumsy free
as finger on my pulse you begin to breathe
Live like we are accounted for
Live like you love me forevermore.
