Loving the Less Fortunate

Loving The Less Fortunate…

After losing my job. I wondered
how my attitude would change.
I noticed something I thought to be
“peculiar and strange.”

Other people’s attitudes I was now
beginning to see…
And how many times they
were inconsiderate of me!

A few offered encouragement
and a helping hand…
Many didn’t try to love me nor
did they understand.

To get my eyes on others is foolishness and futility…
I have put my hope in Jesus!
 He’s mine eternally!

I think many in church have had
so many good things…
Many have not endured what hardship brings…

Jesus is my refuge and strength…
And has let me know…
To love the less fortunate and every lost soul!

With God’s help… I and my family will endure!
But my prayers go out to others…
That’s for sure!

May the Lord God convict and
open up prideful hearts.
For this is where Christ’ love
 in action really starts!
