Loving Hands

With his fingers wrapped around hers, She softly kisses his hand. For now he is her baby, She knew, some day he would be a man. With these hands, who would have known, How many lives he’d touch. His family, his friends, and others, And the woman he would love so much. With these hands, he touches her face, While he looks into her eyes. The hands have always had a way Of drying the tears she cries. He’ll be a daddy soon enough, He has a baby on the way. Who knew one man could be so proud, He speaks of it everyday. With his son’s fingers wrapped around his, He will softly kiss his face. For now he is his baby, he knows, Some day he will be a man.
