Loving a Friend

I have a friend,
that I love so dear.
But why at times, will not
let me near?
To hear all the sorrows,
and to talk and talk to tomorrow.
I gave him my heart,
but seems all he likes to do is borrow.
Instead of taking it in his hand,
and telling me how he feels,
right from the start.
Each time when we part,
it seems we miss each other when
we are apart.
Sometime down the road,
it will all have to end,
because we will marry another.
But hopefully,
we will never forget the true love
that we had for one another!
