Lovia, Love
kissing your smooth
brown skin
smelling your
sweet jasmine perfume
sampling the sweet nectar
wishing we
were bride and groom
yet before we are eternally coupled
to one another
we have to understand our
differences
and learn how
to talk to one another
it makes me proud to stand
before you in embrace
to say we are one
and we can
love face to face
image us not together
then we would be apart
how would I continue
I wish not to have a broken heart
from days of yesteryear
until this here and now
might we strengthen our weaknesses
and scare off threats
which would want to bring us down
can we seize each opportunity
that might increase our peace
those chances that bring us wealth
might they never seize to be
