Love's Vagabond

Deprived for all existence
The world has disappeared
My heart builds walls of callus
My soul forever seared

How can I ever love again
No feelings so serene
A puppet without a master
A king without his queen

Never will a single smile
Call my face it's home
Destined to be love's vagabond
With no one to call my own

Growing old and lonely
It's now a way of life
Love, just a four letter word
Without you, as my wife

I spend my days in silence
Trying not to cry
You said you'd never leave me
Why did you have to die

Aww. Wow. That's just heart wrenching. I love it. Sadness just radiates from every word. Amazing poem.
