Love's Ubiquitous
I know Death will someday set my soul free:
yet the thought of dying overwhelms me.
There's no guarantee of what Death will bring:
and the end of life is a scary thing.
Hate and love exist in the heart of Man,
but we suppress that hate as best we can.
And although youth's easily led astray,
love's ubiquitous, not just a cliché.
We're creatures of love; that's just who we are:
the most intimate emotion by far.
And when life ends, we will extend that love
to reach the spiritual realm above.
Remember, you reap the harvest you sow:
there are no redoes when it's time to go.
It's better to try than live with regret,
learn to forgive the slights you can't forget.
Heaven and God exist if you believe:
reality and faith oft interweave.
Sometimes, you need to step outside the box;
a lifetime cannot be measured by clocks.
