Author's Notes: This "Rhyme" poem is entitled: "Love's the Soul's Fire." With this particular poem, I've taken a bit of a deep dive into the rapturous, but quite necessary aspects of "Love" as an integral part of all of our lives. I do my best to address this theme from both a common perspective and a metaphysical nature as related to the "Human Soul." As difficult as love can be for all of us at times, it's still that all-powerful, emotive force that compels us to seek solace in one another's shared company while finding (or attempting to find) that more profound linkage with our individual soul and perhaps God himself. Love is always a quite special topic for poets and dreamers. It is, after all, an incalculable force in our finite human world that does indeed make the world go round. And it may be later, an integral aspect of one's admission ticket to Heaven, that is, if one is Heaven bound, which lies in the realm of God's grace and decision and is clearly not for us mere mortals to make. I hope you find this poem to be of interest!! (Gary Bateman - January 4, 2015) (Rhyme)
