Love's Promise

It is sad when you realize words are powerless
to express what is truly upon your heart, or
when flowers fail to lend their wonderous beauty
to speak the emotions that elude your breath.
But somewhere woven in among the awkwardness
of loves timid promise there is a smile. And from
that smile all doubt is empoverished. For there
can be no justice in bridling love with words or
tokens. For love speaks not of these things, but
whispers in soft glances and falls each morning
like dew drops upon your soul.
Is each day born anew,
and is comfortable in a moment of silence.
