Although you've been crying,
morning lost dreams dying;
your heart still keeps trying
to start anew.
You let him walk away
to his utter dismay;
he's a phantom cliché
you'll not pursue.
Happiness was fleeting
now your heart is bleeding;
for once, he's caught cheating,
love can't redo.
Forever thoughts frighten;
anxieties heighten,
your defenses tighten,
and tears ensue.
You feel you're all alone
left to face the unknown,
lost in the twilight zone;
but that's untrue.
Someday, you will restart
your search for a sweetheart;
and your doubts will depart
on Love's debut.
