Loves Blindness

I remember the days we spent together
Hand in hand, happy, our hearts content
We always smiled when we were around each other
I thought it was love, I though you were the one
Then that cold winters night, you ran away
I don't know why you left, I loved you
Why did you run, what did I do to make you leave
I chased you as long as I could
But you were gone, gone for good
I never found out why you left me that night
But you took my heart and you took my mind
I always thought it was love
Was I always that blind?
