Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Lovers Lane

E'er so oft, we stare at the moon,
As sneaked peeks not to e'er be seen,
Kissed moist lips whilst hidden closed eyes,
Ere moon chances horizons loom,
Moon gazers sinks midst its disguise,
Two in back seats as their heads lean,
Moving closer sets the kiss scene,
Opportune hence the thawing hour,
Cupids arrow did empower,
Cars in a row on Lovers Lane,
Most in love whilst others in pain,
Some sit solo as most sit twain,

Lovers all at one point this time,
Lovers all at one point this time,

Venation pulsates warming beats,
Revs of engines, cooling back seats,
Many leave with their hearts intact,
As night welcomes the yawning dawn,
And some leave with a sad impact,
Most others, love story goes on.

Good luck in the contest. It sounds like a winning poem to me, William.
