Lover

Lover, you ignite fire in my body,
Transcend life within life, creating tremors in my soul.
And as I kiss your honey lips and hold you tight,
you make everything so right.

In euphoric ecstasy,
in the presence of abiding love,
in a tale where words lose their meaning as told,
you allow me to experience that mystery, which you do behold.

And sometimes when I look at you,
when I have a heavy mind,
you create for me
infinity in time.

Love they say is an affirmation of one's existence, a road to the spirit.
So lying in your arms,
with your heartbeat resonating as one with mine,
you give me love which can be hard to find.

I want you forever
until the end of time
entangled in all the complexities of love
So I may experience all that is divine.

Nice to read you back at The Soup after your two year hiatus George. That's all three of your 'Love Trilogy' poems I've read now and I can happily say they were all divine. :) I can read my own true love for my wife through your words. Love is such a wonderful colour. Cheers - Gary

Thank you Gary. I have taken a bit of a break from poetry writing as I have spent some time reading and studying about poetry writing, as well as occupying my time with some other things.
