Jenny is the second one down. This is from around 1963!
(I'm the dorky looking one at the top!)
JENNIIFER TODAY
My sister
Jennifer Ellen -
sweet Jenny Wren,
like a mother hen,
is my comfort.
She was born
two years after me.
Though I’m the eldest -
the teacher -
she is the one
in our family
who nurtures us
when we feel blue.
But also she is
a lioness!
Once she rushed
to defend me from
the cruel remarks
of a stranger -
a heartless man who
attacked the soul of
me -my poetry.
Lovely Jenny;
in a room bursting
with activity,
she’s the one
in the corner
who is holding
the outcast’s hand.
