Loveliness

Let us leave
Our home behind.
Venture out in
Evening's clement
Light, here in
Ireland's rugged
North western
Edge, along the
Sea shore where
Seagulls soar.

You don't need training...some poets are born with the talent. Divine!

Connie, those words are music to my ears. My father was a wonderful musician, but also a poet. He only showed me one poem, when I was very young. I can see it still,on crumpled paper. It was composed of puns on country names, about dining.I can only remember he asked the waiter.."Can't Jamacia little speed?"

You have managed to create a most beautiful scene with such few words. A most wonderful acrostic Jean, that reveals how very talented you are! #7

Aw Connie, that is so nice. I don't feel talented at all. Because I have no training in poetry whatsoever, I always feel I am chancing my arm. I rarely change what I first write and most of them take only about ten minutes. But I just love the process. Like knitting a colourful jumper, my arm aches as I race to the end, just to see how it will turn out. Thank you so much.

I can see it clearly. The surf and seagulls song. So peaceful and pure.

Thank you Kim. I changed it to talk of sunset, but preferred this line myself. I am truly blessed to live here.
