Loveless

Love , ha, it’s all a game, I’ve played it before and I’ll play it again
Win or lose I just don’t care, I’ve been in this spot, I’ve nothing to fear,
I’ve been hurt before but she cant see, nothing she says can get to me,
Threats, ha, knocks on my door, I’ve had all this time and time before.

Got into fights an’ I’ve beat them to the floor, stood in the rain an’ cried out for more,
Blood dripped from my fist, turned to her an’ gave her one last kiss,
Looking down at the man I beat, lying there on the floor just before my feet.

Then I met her, face all sweet, I thought to myself this is one to keep,
Trembling now as when I went to kiss, her soft, warm lips that no longer exist,
Once again I’d lost this game, hate so bad she wont even speak my name,
But then, ha, life goes on, what should I care if this love went wrong?

It ain’t the first an’ it wont be the last, I look at myself an’ think of my past,
I think of all the things I did wrong, good times, bad times an’ all the fun,
Then I stop, pause, think of what I’ve got to give, my specialty in this life I live,
If she don’t want me, who am I to care? It only means that the love ain’t there.
