Loved by the World
“Mandela is loved by the world. By ‘the world,’ I mean a people who have embraced the light of freedom for all.”
— Quote by Poet
Mandela's rainbow arches across the sky;
We remember our father and hero,
Who sacrificed his today for our tomorrow,
He set free the caged bird of our dreams.
Missed by us,
He taught us that we have the right to a seat on the bus.
Oh, how we miss him dearly.
He showed us that we have equal rights and should be treated fairly.
Hail the man who was imprisoned for no just reason.
Behind bars, he still held on to the light,
When others may have surrendered to the night;
Yet his soul was laid on the altar for the freedom of the people.
Mandela’s spirit has entered the dreary room,
Like an angel, he has come to disperse every pervading gloom.
