Love Worth Waiting For
I never thought that the day you came into my life
Would be the best day of my life
Ever since then you've always been by my side
Helping through my depression
Helping me realize who I really am
That when I soon became ill
With an illness that I had not had for a long time
I thought I'd never be sick again
After the lessons that I had learned
You were always there for
Just like I was always there for you
No secrets kept from each other
No broken promises shattered
My best friend
My crush
My feelings began to grow more inside
The unsolved puzzle of my heart slowly is being solved
As the pieces slowly were put into place
But I continued to stay in denial
I kept telling myself that it would never happen
That it was nothing more than a dream that would never come true
Still I couldn't help but have little hope
As each day passed the little hope that I had
Slowly began to fade
My heart and mind left with loneliness and confusion
My feelings began to cover up
Soon I realized I couldn't deny my feelings for you
It was the day that you had asked me out
My began to beat faster
As if you had given it life once again
My cold body turned warm
My pale face turned red
Was this real?
Was this really happening?
Or am I dreaming?
"Yes!"
That was the best day of my life
That day was worth waiting for
