Love the Lord B
Now that you know how to love the Lord
let's advance and probe thus further in;
see, loving thy neighbour also counts for a lot
shall we dwell into it more? we shall surely win!
Besides that, His commands are equally good
remember the Ten Commandments? yes, for a start;
even the rule to honour thy parents, you should
keep all ten of them deep within thy heart.
So loving the Lord is simply so simple
i never thought i could ever get this right;
like a smile that's complemented by a cute lil' dimple
keep loving the Lord, do good in His sight.
Even when no one is looking do your very best
sure, you'll fail, but deny not His blessings;
take baby steps, hurry not, He does the rest
when sleeping time comes your heart will sing.
This journey is long, there's much we can do
pleasing the Lord takes a lifetime's effort;
be satisfied, and you won't yet ever rue
He knows our heart, the Christ is blessed.
Till the next time we get to spend
more on His words, at no expense;
Pray the Lord, He is our Friend
deliver us from the cold, the dark and dense.
