Love Struck

Fireflies in my head and they are stuck
This is the overwhelming feeling of being love struck
Your presence causes butterflies to fill my stomach
It is a sensation that I just cannot lick
A tremor in my chest a weakness in my knees
A stutter of my words hinders them to flow with ease
The smell of your skin causes a sensory division
The warmth of your soul blurs my clear vision
The touch of your hand and I can’t walk a straight line
A whisper in my ear sends a chill down my spine
A hug from you makes me feel faint so I count to ten
But your kiss starts my heart to finally beat again
I’m overcome with emotion and I have to sit
I come to this conclusion that I love it
Fireflies in my head and they are stuck
This is the overwhelming feeling of being love struck
